Who we are
Fan District Restrooms (fandistrictrestrooms.com) is a website and phone line for portable restroom rental around Richmond and nearby Virginia counties. We work with a network of independent local portable restroom companies. When you call, your call goes to one of them, and that business, not Fan District Restrooms, performs, prices and bills any work.
What we collect
- When you call: your phone number, the time and length of the call, and anything you choose to tell us, such as your name, the job address, your dates, headcount and where the units would go. Calls are handled through a call-tracking and routing service and may be recorded to confirm how a call was handled and to improve service. When a call is recorded, a notice plays at the start of the call.
- When you browse: standard technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the page that referred you. We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies, and Umami, which does not use cookies.
- Maps: our pages show an embedded Google map. When it loads, Google may collect data under the Google Privacy Policy.
This site has no forms, accounts or payments. We do not ask for payment card, bank or insurance account numbers.
How we use it
We use this information to connect your call with a local rental contact who can help, to let them call you back, to understand which pages and calls are useful, to block spam and fraud, and to meet legal obligations.
Who receives it
- The independent business that takes your call receives your phone number and the details you share so it can help you. Its own privacy practices apply to the work it does for you.
- Our service providers process information for us: the call-tracking and routing service, Google and Umami for analytics, and our website host.
- Business arrangements: we may be compensated by the businesses and partners that receive calls. Some state privacy laws may treat passing your call to them as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can ask us not to share your information this way, although we may then be unable to connect your call.
- Legal requests: we may disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights and users.
How long we keep it
We retain call records and recordings indefinitely. Analytics data is kept under the retention settings of those tools.
Your choices and rights
You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on. Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to get a copy, and to opt out of its sale, sharing or use for targeted advertising. Email privacy@fandistrictrestrooms.com to make a request or to appeal a decision. We will respond within 45 days and will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Keeping data secure
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we handle, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
